The Hills Are Alive grew out of time in the Hilltops region of NSW, golden grasses and wildflowers scattered among organic, boulder-like forms rendered in acrylic mixed with earth, clay and ochre. Deep maroons push up through the gold, as if the land itself were flowering, painted the way the country felt, not how it looked.
